NWACC electrical apprenticeship
Registration is open year-round. The four-year program combines 576 classroom hours with 8,000 paid on-the-job hours. Applicants must be at least 18 and employed as a W-2 worker under an Arkansas-licensed master electrician.
XNA Western Concourse construction
XNA's project timeline shows construction beginning in September 2026 and continuing through September 2028. The expansion adds gates, hold rooms, restrooms, concessions, and improved airfield access.
$2,500 Track to the Trades scholarship
Applications are due November 10. Thirty $2,500 awards are open to U.S. high school seniors planning to attend trade school and current trade-school students pursuing plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or a closely related field.
Free maker tools at the library
The Center for Innovation offers 3D printers, lasers, CNC equipment, heat presses, studios, and workforce simulators. Learning Labs are required for Fab Lab equipment, and orientations are required for the audio and video studios.
Free home weatherization help
Income-qualified homeowners and renters can apply for insulation, air sealing, duct sealing, and other efficiency work at no charge. Benton and Washington counties are in the listed service area.
War Eagle Fair
October 15 through 18 in Hindsville. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free; parking is $5 per vehicle.
Get EPA 608 certified online
ESCO Institute offers online EPA Section 608 technician certification and other HVACR credentialing resources. Check the official training portal for course and exam options.
NWTI spring welding applications
Northwest Technical Institute offers Welding Technology in Springdale, with fall and spring starts. Its program page lists an August 1–November 1 application window for spring. Confirm the current intake dates and requirements with admissions before applying.
Build with Habitat NWA
Volunteer on a Habitat for Humanity build in NWA, no experience needed and open to ages 16 and up. Or shop the ReStores in Fayetteville and Bentonville for discounted materials, Mon to Sat, 9 to 6.
NWA Farmers Markets
Fresh produce, meat, baked goods, and local makers across the region, spring through October. Bentonville, Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bella Vista, Siloam Springs, and more, each on its own day.
Ozark Arts & Crafts Fall Fair
Oct. 16 to 17 at the NWA Convention Center in Springdale. A 200-plus booth indoor arts, crafts, home decor, and antiques show timed to War Eagle weekend. Free admission and parking.
